Dear Students,

Let me take this opportunity to congratulate you for completing your schooling till standard 10th and passing the Board exams. Now you are no longer a school student, you are now at Junior College. You, Yuva, are now in the period of education which is at a critical stage in your life. Remember that, Scoring of high or low marks at 10th boards should not be the sole criteria for selecting subjects for your further studies.

Choosing a career path is one of the most significant decision you have to make at this stage. Now you are exposed to various career pathways. However, with the multitude of options available, it's easy for you to feel overwhelmed and confused. What matters is, how best you approach career, ensuring you make informed and confident decisions about your future.

Today, not only the developed countries, but our own country offers a diverse range of career options, spanning from traditional professions like medicine, engineering, law and civil services to emerging fields such as technology, entrepreneurship, and environmental conservation. Vocational, digital economy and technical careers have gained prominence, offering alternative pathways to success beyond the conventional academic route.

At this juncture, parents play a pivotal role in shaping their children's career choices. They have the responsibility to provide exposure and information on various professions, helping Yuva to understand the realities and demands of different career paths. By encouraging open discussions and actively listening to their children's aspirations, parents can support informed decision-making and foster confidence in career exploration. Parents should not impose career choices on their children. Living their dreams through their children denies the children an opportunity to live their dreams. It also happens that students have one common question - "What job do I get after I graduate?" they are asking the wrong question. Instead, they should ask, “What career clusters interest me? A career cluster is a group of jobs and occupations that are closely related. These clusters include areas like marketing, STEM careers, finance & commerce, arts, education, hospitality, and law. Many positions within a cluster share the same or similar skills and underlying goals.

Chances are that the Yuva may encounter several challenges when navigating career choices. Limited access to information about non-traditional careers, societal expectations, and economic constraints can hinder exploration and lead to decision paralysis. Moreover, cultural factors may influence career decisions, with some professions perceived as more prestigious or lucrative than others. Here I would like to point out that - Choosing a career is a personal journey that requires careful consideration, exploration, and guidance. In India, Yuva are fortunate to have access to a diverse range of career options, but navigating these choices can be overwhelming without proper support and information.

This is where, I come into picture, as a professional, guiding the Yuva to make informed decisions that align with their abilities, interests, values, and aspirations. Ultimately, My goal is to empower Yuva, Saksham Youth, to confidently pursue their chosen career paths, live a meaningful life and contribute for the development of our Nation.

My program responds to the individual needs of students while helping them prepare for transition from the adolescent to an adult world.
Through this program a help will be provided to Yuva to fine tune the interpersonal and social skills required for positive interaction with others in the community, home or future work settings.
